1. You can take an interesting picture of a city by choosing a location from which you can see several layers. There should be a foreground, a middleground, and a background.

a. I took a picture of Hugh playing the guitar. To make it interesting, I took it from a sideways angle, so that the viewer would be looking down the strings of the guitar like an alleyway.
b. This picture shows sound energy being used because there was sound coming from the guitar that he played.

1. One way to take an interesting picture of a city is to take pictures from different angles or “from the hip”.

a) To make this picture interesting, I took it from a certain angle to make the camera take the picture along the wire.
b) This picture is of an outlet and that is a form of electrical energy.

It is also helpful to take the picture from an interesting angle so that the picture looks better, and you can fit everything you want into the picture.

1. Some ways that you can take an interesting picture of a city are to make sure that your entire subject gets in the photo. Another is to take the picture from an ants view. To do this you can either get on the ground and take the picture facing from an upward angle, or you can hold your camera down facing up.
2. One of the pictures I took today was of people eating in the cafeteria.
a. I composed this picture by getting on the stage and trying to get the entire room in the photo. I think that this makes it interesting because there is a lot to look at.
b. This picture shows energy being used because there are people in motion eating.

a. One picture I took today was of a light on the outside of king. To make the picture more interesting, I took it from the point of view of something low on the ground looking up.
b. Because my picture was of a light, it is an example of light energy. Also, electrical energy was used to create the light.

1. To make a picture interesting, you can use a few different techniques. One would be to get the subject from unsual angles, like from the ground or from a bird’s eye view. You can also use layering to show many different things like the foreground, middleground and background.
2a. I took a picture of a bicycle. I took it from a low angle to make it look more interesting.
2b. My picture shows potential energy. The bike isn’t actually moving, but when it is used it will show mechanical energy.

a. I took a picture of the water fountain. But the water fountain was in motion spurting water. To make it interesting I had the water splashing but it looks weird because it’s still.

1. There are many ways to take an interesting picture of a city. One thing that makes a picture is layering with a foreground, middleground, and background. Another thing that makes a picture inturesting is doing it from different angles and perspectives.
2. a) To make my picture interesting I used layering. I tried to take the picture in the direction that the cars were going and with the road upclose and far away.
b) My picture shows mechanical energry coming from the moving cars. My picture also has a little bit of light energy. It has some lights from the cars and light from the stop lights.

2a. In my picture I used the perspective of a small creature, or the floor’s point of view.

2. I included a type of enegry in my picture called, electric energy. I used a foreground, which included a tree on a hill. My middleground included a control booth, for Fiztpatrick Stadium. My background consisted of my electric energy object, two sets of stadium lights, and a streetlight.

1. Some ways to make a picture taken in the city interesting are; have a foreground, background, and middle ground, have movement in your picture, use the edges of the photo to frame things, use interesting lighting, use an interesting point of view.
2. I took a picture of a pile of broken, or not in use laptops.
a) To make my picture interesting I took from a strange angle, so that the viewer sees the laptops from the side.
b) My picture shows energy usage because laptops use chemical energy in their batteries, and they use electrical energy to run.

2a) To make my picture interesting I took it from a cool angle. There was a light on the second landing on the stairs and I took the picture from the first landing. I was basically laying on the floor when I took this picture.

To take an interesting photo of the city you can try all differnt types of views of the city. For example an ants view and birds eye view. I didn’t take any pics on a digital camera but one person in my group took a interesting photo. She made it interesting because She shot it going up the stairs. So she was on the first floor and the light was on a landing.
The light showed electrical energy being transformed into light energy.

One of my pictures was a projecter that was on giving a blue shin to thing next to it.
The projecter shows electric energy and heat energy because it is pluged in to an outlit and heat was coming from a vent.

1] You can take an interesting picture by putting the camera at angles, one angle is called your hip side.
2] I made the camera at an angle to get the whole subject in the picture to make it look interesting.
3] It shows how energy is being used because it is a panel of how much energy you want to use. The more buttons you press the more energy will be used.

A photographer can take an interesting picture by making sure you have a background, middleground, and foreground (more commenly known as layers). The photographer in question could also use an interesting perspective like an ant (or a monkey… anything close to the ground really.) The perspective from something big would also work well.
My photo was interesting because I had the poll on a diagonal angle to the frame and the flag was rippling in the wind violently (which shows the wind energy that could potentially be harnessed). I think it’s artistic, but Max and Cece think I should keep trying.

2a. To make my picture interesting I went up close to capture it. I also put it at an angle from the bottom so it looks like you are looking up on it. I made the light shining on it face a different direction from where I was standing.
